Essential Oil Duo
Young Living Citrus essential oils have rich fruity scents that lift the spirit and are cleansing, decongesting and purifying oils. Orange (Citrus sinensis) essential oil has a rich, fruity scent that lifts the spirit while providing a calming influence on the body. Orange brings peace and happiness to the mind. It is rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene and aids in maintaining normal cellular regeneration.* Orange has an approximate ORAC of 18,898 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. Lemon (Citrus lemon) has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Lemon consists of 68 percent d-limonene, a powerful antioxidant. Lemon has an approximate ORAC of 6,619 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter
This Young Living citrus duo (one 15ml of orange and one 15ml of lemon essential oil) are fantastic to jump start your health by using these essential oils internally as flavorings in your water. Both citrus essential oils are rich in limonene, which has been extensively studied for its ability to combat tumor growth in over 50 clinical studies (Reference: Essential Oils Desk Reference). You can also diffuse these oils to purify your home while you and your family inhale and benefit from their healthy compounds! This is just a sampling of how these Young Living citrus oils can be used:
Diffuse:
Diffuse citrus oils to uplift your pirits, purify the air and give your house that fresh clean smell. Put a few drops of lemon in a glass spray bottles with purified water, shake and spray in the bathroom to freshen up the air!
Take internally:
Add one drop of oil in an eight ounce glass of water for a hint of citrus flavor while providing the benefit of their antioxidant power and it is a healthy way to neutralize body acid! Adding oil to water helps to maintain healthy cells. You can add a few drops of citrus oil in a capsule and swallow the capsule with water. If you have a sore throat, put a drop of two in 4 ounces of water and gargle then swallow the lemon water. Not only will it help your sore throat, but you get the benefit of internal use also.
Use for cleansing:
Add a few drops of lemon oil to water in a glass spray bottle to clean your fruits and vegetables. Lemon oil will remove glue residue from stickers or other affixitives.
Please note that if using topically, avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours afer applying citrus oils to the skin. Most citrus oils are photoxtoic and if applied to skin that is exposed to direct sunlight, you may burn your skin. This warning applies only to citrus oils that are used topically
