I've been interested in wellness since I was a teenager, and I have tried many, many different brands of natural products throughout the years. About a year and a half ago I learned about essential oils for the first time. I was fascinated by the research, history, and testimonials about these God-given gifts of nature. I love these products because my results have been quicker and more amazing than any other products I have used. Also, therapeutic essential oils are backed up by research and by the test of time. None of the other products I've used have even come close to the results I've received from the products made by Young Living. Young Living Essential Oils and their oil-infused companion products are like the "Mercedes Benz" of the wellness industry. One of my first thoughts when I learned about these oils was, "Why didn't someone tell me about these sooner?" These oils have blessed my family and me from head to toe, and I feel obligated and honored to tell others about these empowering oils.
The first oil I tried was Thieves. The history of Thieves is fascinating, and it was formulated after the recipe of the famous thieves who smeared themselves with oils and salves and robbed the dead and dying without contracting the horrible plague that was taking thousands of lives.
I started using Thieves oil on the bottom of my feet whenever I felt a cold coming on, and I also took capsules with Thieves, oregano and thyme called Inner Defense. I am a teacher, and I was surrounded by so many students who were coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses. In my last two years in the classroom, I had a cold for 1/2 day one year and less than a day the next year. It was amazing! I sent my sons to college with "cold packs" consisting of Thieves oil, Inner Defense, Thieves Dentarome Ultra Toothpaste, and Thieves Mouthwash, all from Young Living. My sons found that their immune systems were much stronger, and I was thrilled when my younger son made it through his first year of college (living in the dorm) without ever getting a cold. He got the sniffles a couple of times, but they never developed into a cold. These products are amazing, and I was ready to learn more!
I have taken NingXia Red for about 1 1/2 years now. NingXia Red is the highest antioxidant whole food on the planet! After taking this for a while, I noticed that my eyesight got better. I could read maps, the phone books, and the bulletin at church easier without my reading glasses. This winter I had an eye exam, and I was anxious to see what my eye doctor had to say about my vision. Well, the news was GREAT! My eyesight had actually improved! I've also been interested in wellness as a young adult; however, I fell into the "going with the flow" syndrome and trusted the products sold in the United States because after all, they were FDA approved! After hearing the news report time after time how drugs and products were pulled from the market because of major health risks and these products were originally approved by the FDA, I thought, "It's time to get back to nature." Our bodies were never designed to consume synthetic chemicals.
And as a “mature” adult, I knew I had to make changes in my life to try to reverse the damage already done in my body. BJ, my sister-in-law, introduced me to the Young Living World and I am forever thankful to her because it has enriched my family’s life. One example I will share is how the oils cured my son of the “three day flu” in less than four hours! My adult son, who wasn’t using oils on a regular basis at that time, was “given” this flu from his wife. She, like others, was sick in bed for three days with this flu. The symptoms were fever, body aches and chills, light headedness, and violent vomiting. In other words, "sicker than a dog," as the old saying goes. On the first day of his illness, my son called me to ask if I could bring him some oils to help with this. I rubbed one drop of peppermint on his head and the headache immediately left. I rubbed a drop or two of Thieves oil on the bottom of each foot and waited for a few minutes. When he felt well enough to get out of bed, I gave him a complete Raindrop treatment, which included oils that have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and analgesic properties. While he was receiving the treatment, he said he was feeling much better and within 30 minutes after the treatment he said, “I can’t believe it, Mom; I don’t feel sick at all!” And, the best thing is that he never felt sick after that!
